Network Operations #Architect job opening in Ft. Meade #Maryland

Job Overview:

Network Operational Support Systems (OSS) Architect – working at all levels (EMS, NSM, and SMS).
Develop “big picture” view driven from technical details, and be able to identify “ripple effects” from individual technical decisions. Demonstrated leadership and technical problem solving experience in a similar environment highly preferred.
Thinks independently and is a strong communicator.
Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Experience and responsibility areas include:
* Develop high level architectural solutions to business and mission requirements for Service Assurance and Service Delivery support for Network Services.
* Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
* Identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades. Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams. They will ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with relevant standards.

Work is performed with some direction but largely independently, and in close collaboration with related disciplines. Demonstrated experience defining and documenting SOPs and Procedures required. Should be flexible and creative in defining Problem Solutions and managing executions on of designs, test plans, and interactive testing.
